Для всех кто не знаком с Mobile Fidelity...

For those who are unfamiliar, the Mobile Fidelity label was started in the late ‘70s and is dedicated to creating superior vinyl issues of classic titles. The idea is to more faithfully reproduce the sound of the music in contrast to the regular LP issues. They use the original master tapes (instead of later copies), heavy virgin vinyl (180 grams or more), and are processed at half-speed (the tape is played at half speed and the cutting lathe runs at half speed allowing an extended frequency response). The difference in the sound really can be quite dramatic, even on an average stereo system.

This collection has around 80 still factory-sealed pieces, mostly classic rock with a smattering of other genres, two box sets, and a super-rare Rolling Stones box set still sealed in its original shipping box.

These records are not cheap. They are very sought-after and hard to find, especially still sealed, but we have tried to price them fairly, if not a little below market value. They range from around $24.99 to $149.99 for the single LPs and considerably more for the box sets and a couple of very rare pieces.

The majority of these titles are from Mobile Fidelity’s first generation, around 1980-1987, but there are also a fair amount of Anadisc 200’s from the mid ‘90s, many which have very low stamped numbers (1 -500), and a handful of the third generation from the 2000’s.

Some of the highlights include:

“The Beatles Box” 14 disc Mobile Fidelity box set, with art book, and Geodisc (a tool for aligning your cartridge). In excellent condition. $799.99

“The Rolling Stones Box” 11 disc Mobile Fidelity box set, with art book and Geodisc.
In excellent condition, $799.99

“The Rolling Stones Box” 11 disc Mobile Fidelity box set. Still sealed in its original shipping box, with the very rare mail-away companion poster in its shipping tube. $1,599.99

“Woodstock” MFSL 5-200. Rare five LP box set, still sealed $399.99

The Beatles “With the Beatles”. MFSL 1-102. Very scarce due to the pressing plates breaking early in the manufacturing run (or so the story goes). Sealed. $349.99

Jethro Tull “Thick as a Brick” MFSL 1-187. Sealed. $149.99

Elton John “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. MFSL 2-160. Anadisc 200, #593. $149.99

And a whole lot more!

Please note that these records are sold first come, first served. Many of these titles are in very high demand, so to be as fair as we can to everyone, please do not call us to ask to put any on hold. For those not familiar with our store, sorry, we are a walk-in store only and do not ship.
