The music of Wally Shorts is without a doubt as original as his flute playing.Musical influences of jazz, Latin,symphonic rock, funk, Fastern has molded his style into something different as you will hear on this album.Born in London,England, arriving in Holland 10 years ago.He played with several groups which included "Sail" Hans Dulfer Group etc.Eventually forming his own group "Turquoise", performing all over the country. During that 4-year period he became a member of the "New Age Jazz Chorale", a 14 piece band under the directorship of Burton Greene.He became involved with Latin music after playing with "Latin Ex- plosion"(Massada Big Band) and in 1980 worked with Tito Puente and his Latin Jazz Quintet during their tour of the Netherlands.Now a member of "Combo Los Mismos" the Ansterdam based Salsa group, and has his own group which features bassist Wilbur Little and Rob v.d. Broeck.
